A Faultless Stay

Had an excellent enjoyable stay. The rooms were well appointed and had everything we needed. The food both at lunch and breakfast was of the highest quality. The thing that actually stood out overall for us was the wonderful service provided by the staff, they all made us feel so welcome and took the time to converse with us. Everyone from the waiters/waitresses/ reception lady/cleaning lady was a real credit to the hotel owners.

Fantastic Mother’s Day Lunch

Mothers Day lunch was excellent and the quality of food and the presentation were great and Service was prompt and friendly, the dining room very pleasant.
Mother also received a potted Mothers Day flower which was a nice touch to a great day.

Super Evening

A Lovely Function

Joanne and I, plus all of our guests thought that the venue and the food were all of the highest standard. A special mention for Lewis who did a fantastic job in managing the bar and co-ordinating food, coffee and tea etc. Also thanks to Zoe who volunteered to go to the Inn to get an extra high chair as requested. Overall a lovely function and we will look forward to returning to the Dower House in the near future. September 2022.

Really Splendid

Just wanted to say thank you to you and your staff after our event on Tuesday. Everyone seemed to have a lovely time and very much enjoyed their Afternoon Tea. All the staff were great but please pass on a particular thank you to Max who looked after us so well, he wasn’t there when I left for me to speak to him. August 2022

Fantastic and So Accommodating

Our meal on Friday was fantastic thank you. Despite it being an early Christmas function the room looked amazing, the staff wear fantastic and so accommodating despite the last minute changes due to covid. It felt like they went above and beyond to make out night special.

Excellent Evening for a Special Occasion

We were let down by a booking for a 50th anniversary (10 people) dinner and telephoned the Dower House only five days before the event. The team went above and beyond to accommodate us from the outset, offering their private dining room for the evening. They allowed us to put up some decorations and provide our own cake. There was a large function in the main hotel but Liam and the team were extremely helpful, friendly and professional throughout. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. We would highly recommend the Dower House, especially for a celebration or special event.

Wonderful Event

Just a line to say thank you for helping to make Horncastle Flower Club’s special day a wonderful event. We had a lovely time and a wonderful meal thanks to your planning and your team carrying out everything to perfection. So please pass on our thanks to them too.

The Best Time Possible

We had the best time possible on Saturday in the PDR, it was very special, made more so by your lovely staff, Alex in the Bar who then helped to serve the food, plus another young man, who was equally charming, they ensured everything went very well, and looked after everyone perfectly.

Extremely Special

The food was excellent, our only small complaint, was not enough custard with the Bakewell tart! Which was delicious by the way. Our thanks to everyone who made the evening extremely special.

A Wonderful Time

Thank you. We had a wonderful time. I have to say all of the staff were incredibly hospitable and welcoming and couldn’t have done enough for us. Can you thank them all for helping us give Judy a lovely day.

Sunday was absolutely perfect, thank you!

Chef did extremely well with the entire meal – it was truly superb; everybody remarked on how delicious it all was. My brother did ‘catch’ Chef on his walk around the room parading the magnificent croquembouche, to thank him, and his staff, very much for such a wonderful meal. He also thanked you, in your absence, and Peter and staff for looking after us so well (though Peter wasn’t in sight at this stage but I hope one of the staff may have heard the applause and passed on our message?!) Literally everything ran so smoothly and we felt so very well looked after by Peter and the team. Mum was so pleased with the day and thoroughly enjoyed it all – even the weather was on our side so that we were able to have our kir royales outside in the sunshine!
Such a really lovely occasion – Thank you so much for all your meticulous planning and expertise and to Chef, Peter and the team for looking after us all so well on Sunday. It made for a very lovely, special and memorable day for us all.

Lovely to be Out

We had a lovely time and the meals were all very well prepared and presented. Everything we had was good quality and a fair price. Plates were all very cleanly presented and the quality of food very good.
Service was also excellent. It is the first time we have been out in a very long time and felt COVID safe.

Great Meal

Very well presented. Tasty and freshly cooked. Brie beetroot and walnut salad. Chicken liver parfait. Spinach gnocchi with tarragon sauce. Rump steak med/rare.

Afternoon Tea on the Terrace

We booked an afternoon tea for 10th June 14.30. Having arrived 20 minutes early the staff were very accommodating and we were seated immediately on the terrace of this beautiful old hotel.
The afternoon tea was one of the best we have had (having recently moved from Devon, we have had plenty of experience), well filled sandwiches, warm scones with lashings of cream and a delightful selection of sweet treats. The tea was constantly topped up by very pleasant and cheery staff. This indeed is a hidden gem in Woodhall spa.

It was absolutely lovely. Thank you so much for organising everything for us. The food was fabulous and everybody thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Celebration Luncheon

I wish to thank you and all the staff who looked after us brilliantly at the hotel Monday night and then on Tuesday 21st for our celebration luncheon. Compliments to your chef and staff in the kitchen for a fabulous meal, which was enjoyed by all.

Prompt Service

Everything went very well on Friday. Thank you for arranging things. The food was very good indeed and everyone enjoyed themselves. The waiting staff were very attentive and the food was served promptly.

Amazing Food, Service and Venue

Just a quick note to say thank you for the lovely afternoon teas on Saturday. I really enjoyed it and so many people commented how the food, service and venue were amazing. Everyone had a great time and it is so nice for everyone to meet up and not think about work for an afternoon.
